Nicole and Joel knew exactly what they wanted for their Idaho wedding, and we loved seeing their vision come to life! Nicole worked with Erin from Dreamer Events to put together their Still Water Hollow Wedding, and watching her and Joel enjoy the evening with their guests was the best!
Planning events for a living herself, Nicole knew how important it was to make their wedding day personal to them, while also creating a fun experience for guests. Nicole and Joel had recently moved to Idaho, so the majority of their guests would be traveling in for their wedding. I remember how excited Nicole and Joel were to have all their loved ones in the same place, and their reception experience reflected that.
Nicole and Joel wanted a casual outdoor party with the people they love most, and an opportunity to share a little of Idaho with them. Still Water Hollow was the perfect venue for their vision. They held their cocktail hour on the lawn, with yard games, cocktails, and time to mingle and catch up with their family and friends. We loved watching Nicole and Joel move from group to group, chatting with their guests and hugging each and every person who came out to celebrate with them.
For their reception on the lawn at Still Water Hollow, Nicole and Joel brought in food trucks and a donut truck for guests! They wanted to be able to share good food, and brought in their favorites that included Mexican food and waffle fries.
When the evening was almost over, Nicole looked at me and told me how much she didn’t want it to end. We sent them back onto the dance floor to finish the night hugging and dancing with all their favorite people. For Nicole and Joel, we could see how much it meant to have so many people come out to Idaho to celebrate with them. Their wedding day was full of tears and hugs, just the way we like it! It wasn’t about them, but about sharing the day with the people who have walked with them through so many seasons of life. We could tell they are so loved, and it was an honor to photograph such a memorable day!
