A lot of couples initially connect with photographers based on their style: the way their photographs look, the emotions they communicate, and the kind of moments they capture.

A large part of a photographer’s style includes his/her editing style, so today we're sharing how we edit AND why we edit the way we do.

Editing:  The Basics

Without getting too technical, we make exposure and coloring adjustments to each photograph we deliver to our couples. Our editing style is light and natural. When necessary, we also make spot adjustments to individual photographs.

Editing:  The Why

We’re not into trendy filters or over edited images, but love capturing our couples’ personalities, emotions, & relationships in a natural and timeless way.

Because of this, there are some things we will do when editing photographs, and some things we won’t! For example, we may remove a thermostat from an image in the getting ready room or remove a very noticeable blemish. We won’t, however, edit out permanent features from a portrait or change the shape of someone’s body. Why? Because that’s not real life, and it’s not true to who our clients are.

For us, editing is about making a meaningful captured moment stronger by ensuring it fits seamlessly into your collection of final images, into the story told through your photographs.
