When Kaleb and I first met up with Laci and Max separately on their wedding day, they both told us they weren't nervous at all. They weren't nervous because they just couldn't wait. They were ready. Their friendship, time together dating, and role in each other's families had been preparing them over the years and nothing but joy was present on their day.
When we met at the park for their first look, they prayed together first, intentional to start their marriage rooted in the things most important to them. They stood back to back, holding hands, each saying a prayer before they turned around to see each other on their wedding day. His eyes filled with tears and he wrapped her in his arms.
Before moving through the rest of their day, Laci and Max took a private moment to read personal vows to one other, words only they would share.
There were so many special moments that stood out on Laci and Max's wedding day, but the emphasis on family was the strongest. Their dads officiated the ceremony together, Max's dad starting off by acknowledging who Laci and Max are and how they have been influenced by the marriages and family members who came before them, a beautiful testament to the generations of love that have poured into them. Laci's dad told stories about their family vacations in Florida, and stories that showed how deeply ingrained Max and Laci already are in each of their families together.
Laci and Max, we cried alongside you as you slipped into your dress, as you read your personal vows, and as your dads spoke words of blessing from generations over your marriage. Your relationship and marriage are a testament to the strong legacy of faithfulness you hold, and we could not be more honored to capture your wedding day. Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
