We bonded with Nicole and Ed during their wedding consultation over our mutual love for donuts, so when they showed up to their engagement session at Cantigny Park carrying a box of donuts for us, we knew we'd have the best time with them!
We had the perfect fall day for their engagement photos. The sun was strong and golden, shining through the trees that were just starting to change colors and mark the changing season. Nicole and Ed showed up looking both sophisticated and romantic. And even though their attire was formal, the informal moments as we walked from spot to spot and their laughs together were the best part of our time with them!
Ed proposed to Nicole by sending her on a scavenger hunt through Morten Arboretum. When she got to the last clue, what she found was a Snitch (shout out to all my fellow Harry Potter fans!), and when it opened, the most beautiful engagement ring inside! Ed asked her to marry him and Nicole said yes!
Nicole and Ed, we walked away from your session feeling so lucky to know such kind, genuine, and humble people. Thanks for trusting us with photographs from both this season of anticipation and your wedding day next spring. We absolutely cannot wait to capture the moments that mean the most to you! Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
