Chicago Loop Engagement Session | Katie & Sam

Katie and Sam met in high school yearbook, and have been together ever since. We walked with them around the Wrigley Building and the river, braving the cold Chicago fall for dreamy engagement photos!

Sam proposed to Katie and IU, his secret photographer almost ruining the surprise by approaching them before he popped the question. Since getting engaged during Covid, they’ve been living the laid back life we’re growing accustomed to—working and hanging at home!

Capturing their engagement photos made us SO excited for their Sand Creek Country Club wedding next fall! A Katie laugh is enough to brighten anyone’s day—the kind that sticks with you even after she’s gone—and we just loved the way it made Sam’s face light up! Katie and Sam, we had so much fun capturing this season of life and can’t wait to (*hopefully) hug you next year on your wedding day! Hugs, Becky & Kaleb.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
