In typical Chicagoland fashion, it had been cloudy and rainy until the hours leading up to sunset, when the sun peeked through for the last parts of the evening along the Chicago riverwalk. Amanda and Nate met us there for their engagement photos and we're so excited to share them!
A really laid back couple, we loved chatting with Amanda and Nate about their days at the gym and nights cooking dinner at home. Seeing them in front of the camera was like seeing a couple on a casual date downtown.
Nate told us all about how he proposed to Amanda- they were visiting her friend and went hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. At the highest point in their hike, he got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him, their friends getting the whole thing on video. She obviously said yes and they're planning a wedding that's just their style.
Amanda and Nate, we said it the other night...you're our kind of people. :) We love your casual but passionate outlook on life, and love how happy you are together. In even the smallest moments, it was clear you're best friends. Hugs to you as you plan to say I do and spend forever together! -Becky & Kaleb
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
