When Kyle reached out about having me photograph his cliffside proposal in McCall, I was so excited to help him pull it off! Kyle and Bridget live in Boise, but Kyle wanted to plan something special for their engagement, so they drove up to McCall for the weekend. He knew Bridget would appreciate a slower Saturday morning, so they spent a slow morning together before going for a scenic drive.
When Kyle and I were planning the details together, he knew the spot he planned to propose to Bridget in Ponderosa State Park. With the state park located on a peninsula on Payette Lake, there’s a stunning panoramic view of the lake from the top known as Osprey Point. Visitors to the park can drive up to Osprey Point or hike their way up. Since Kyle planned to propose at Osprey Point, he and Bridget drove up and walked out to the cliffside location.
Surrounded by blue sky and the deep blue of the lake below the cliffside, Kyle got down on one knee and asked Bridget to marry him. She said yes, tears streaming down her face. Whether or not I had been there to photograph it, Kyle and Bridget would have remembered that moment forever! Osprey Point is now a sweet part of their story and I cannot believe how beautiful the photographs are from their engagement! If you’re thinking about hiring a photographer for your proposal, do it! After we took a few engagement photos together, Kyle and Bridget drove back to their hotel where Kyle had planned to have her family waiting to celebrate with them!
