Fall is a beautiful time of year to have family photos taken in Boise. For some families, a fall family mini session is the perfect option to get a few updated family photos before the weather gets colder and the holiday season begins!
As a photographer in Boise, it’s so wonderful to be a part of the creative community here. When a friend of mine who is a local florist at Wayward Greens Floral asked me to do a fall mini session for her family, I was so excited to be able to do it for her! For me, capturing families is truly a gift. Documenting people and life is so powerful, and while I love doing that through lifestyle photography sessions, mini sessions can be an affordable option for families to get beautiful photos that show their current season of life.
For this fall mini session in Boise, I chose a location that had easy access and beautiful fall colors: Kathryn Albertson Park. Because mini sessions are short, I work fast to capture a variety of photos for families. We ended up with some sweet group shots that show how tight knit this family is, plus some fun candid photographs of the boys together!
If you’re looking for family mini sessions in Boise, reach out to inquire when my next mini session date will be! Depending on my schedule and season, I sometimes offer mini sessions if two families book petite sessions together and schedule them back to back—an option that means families don’t have to wait for my main mini session date to roll around!
I’m Becky, a lifestyle and family photographer in Idaho where I live with my husband and son. Each time I pick up my mom’s old film camera to snap a photo of my boys or grab a phone photo of a mundane moment with my son makes me a better photographer for my clients. As an artist I’m not only creating my favorite work with clients. Day in and day out, I’m capturing the things in my own life worth remembering—the stories I’ll be retelling for years—and I’d love to do that for you.
I love photographing families and the life they are building together. While I love creating beautiful photographs that catalog another year gone by for families, I’m obsessed with capturing raw interactions and families as they truly are. What I hope for my lifestyle and family sessions is that they become a time for families to connect with their loved ones in a way that’s meaningful to them.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
