Family Photos in Boise, Idaho along the Greenbelt

Meaningful film photographs that capture this family’s season of life with twins

Every time I photograph a family in Boise, it’s so fun learning more about what they love to do together. With my own family it seems like our favorite family activities shift depending on the season of life we are in, and I have found that to be true for most families I have in front of the camera. Whenever I work with clients to make a plan for their family photos, we try to incorporate meaningful locations and activities for their family—the more personal and true to them, the better!

Family photos with twins in Boise, Idaho

It was such a joy meeting these 8 month old twins for their family photo session. Chatting with this sweet family, we decided to start their session at home to capture a typical morning together—snuggling on the couch, playing on the floor, and loving on their twin baby boys. After shooting a few rolls of film at their house, we went over to walk the Greenbelt and take more family photos there. One of the things this family loves doing together is walking the Greenbelt, so even though it was a chilly fall morning, we took a walk together and stopped to let the boys play on a blanket in the grass.

Film Family Photos

As a film photographer, I loved the light pouring in the windows during this family session, and the stunning fall colors along the Greenbelt. I love the way these family photos in Boise show beautiful day-to-day moments. For me, the most powerful family photos aren’t perfectly posed, but the ones that show what life is really like. When I’m able to capture real candid moments for families, I believe those are the photographs they’ll cherish most years down the road.

Family Photographer in Boise, Idaho

I’m Becky, a lifestyle and family photographer in Idaho where I live with my husband and son. Each time I pick up my mom’s old film camera to snap a photo of my boys or grab a phone photo of a mundane moment with my son makes me a better photographer for my clients. As an artist I’m not only creating my favorite work with clients. Day in and day out, I’m capturing the things in my own life worth remembering—the stories I’ll be retelling for years—and I’d love to do that for you.

Becky from Studio Ostendo, Co.

I love photographing families and the life they are building together. While I love creating beautiful photographs that catalog another year gone by for families, I’m obsessed with capturing raw interactions and families as they truly are. What I hope for my lifestyle and family sessions is that they become a time for families to connect with their loved ones in a way that’s meaningful to them. I’m a photographer in Boise, but I travel back to Chicago fairly often to visit family. If you’re hoping to work with me in Boise, Chicago, Northwest Indiana, or somewhere else, get to know a little more about me or reach out via my website to chat about a family photography session with me!

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
