When we first met Kimberly and John virtually a few months ago, we loved the vision they had for their Grove Hotel Wedding. Both from California, they knew a lot of their friends and family would be traveling to Boise for their wedding and wanted to make the experience as seamless as possible for their guests and loved ones. Their downtown Boise wedding was the perfect way to share their home with the people who have loved and supported them for years!
Kimberly and John love the outdoors—hiking and exploring Boise is one of their favorite things to do with family and friends—so the views of the Boise foothills from the rooftop terrace at the Grove Hotel was the perfect way to incorporate the Boise landscape into their downtown wedding. Having everything in one location made it easy for their out-of-town guests to come and have some fun together in the days leading up to the wedding. With nights out together before the wedding and an after party downtown Boise, Kimberly and John had a full wedding weekend with loved ones!
Kimberly and John entrusted the planning and design of their day to Erin with Dreamer Events and she did a fantastic job marrying the modern vibe of The Grove with organic elements that tied the design to the nature Kimberly and John love so much in Boise. They used a deep green as an accent color as an ode to nature. The wedding party in full black attire created a beautiful contrast to the natural tones of the rooftop at The Grove, bringing their biggest supporters into clear view during their personal ceremony.
Kimberly and John purposefully incorporated a few elements that made their wedding celebration even more meaningful. Kimberly surprised John by attaching one of his mom’s earrings to her bouquet, an ode to her memory and significant role in his life. From the personalized signet ring John wore to the vows they wrote to each other, their day was full of small touches that incorporated their history and loved ones into their wedding day.
Kimberly and John even planned a private first dance together during the cocktail hour where they got to see the space set up for the first time and spend a few moments alone together before soaking in every moment of the rest of the evening celebrating with their family and friends.
During each moment we watched Kimberly and John from behind the camera, we could see how much they love and care for every person there to celebrate with them. We couldn’t have be happier to celebrate such a wonderful couple at their Boise wedding. Congrats Kimberly & John!

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
