Lexie and Braden had a beautiful spring wedding day at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise. When I met with their planner, Sam, from Sprout Design, she shared their vision for a modern vibe with some Old Hollywood inspiration, and we knew it would be stunning! Their outdoor wedding overlooking the golf course and mountains in the distance was followed by a terrace cocktail hour and reception filled with all the love and energy you could imagine and more.
We loved Lexie and Braden’s approach to their wedding plans. Their wedding decisions were aligned with who they are as a couple, and they did a few key things to make their wedding day personal to them. From choosing Hillcrest in part because they love golfing and playing pickleball there to writing their own vows and prioritizing time with the people who came out to celebrate with them, Lexie and Braden created a wedding celebration they’ll remember forever. They leaned into the emotional moments of their day, completely immersing themselves in the moment all day long.
Sam pulled off a beautiful, cohesive design for Lexie and Braden. Starting with the invitation suite from Something Lettered, the event had a sophisticated and clean look. With beautiful, full florals by Rust and Thistle Floral in an asymmetric design for the ceremony along with reception arrangements that guided guests through the space visually, Hillcrest Country Club was transformed for Lexie and Braden. With pops of pink anchored with black and white design elements, the color palette was clean and modern.
The inspiration of Old Hollywood was subtle and on point, with velvet linens covering the reception tables and floral design that featured soft curves. Lexie’s dress was reminiscent of one you would have seen on Marilyn Monroe, and her curls were the perfect ode to Old Hollywood glam.
Lexie and Braden, from the moment we walked into your getting ready spaces we felt like family. You let us into the most intimate moments of your wedding, didn’t hide your tears, and gave a ton of hugs. It was a joy to celebrate with you! Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
