They spent the morning in anticipation of the moment she would walk down the aisle. Her dad joked that it wasn’t quite time and he wouldn’t let her go.
Tears filled Andrew’s eyes.
All eyes followed her as she made her way toward her husband to be.
We get a front row seat to a lot of special moments on a wedding day. Kaitlin and Andrew are two incredibly kind souls, with sweet ties to their families. Couples often exchange letters on a wedding day, but on theirs, Kaitlin and Andrew read the letters they wrote out loud before handing them off to be delivered to the other. With tears in their eyes, they read the words they wrote, the words they would soon read from one another on their wedding day. Everything stood still in those moments. It was about them, about the way they love each other. And it was so beautiful.
Instead of choosing a maid of honor and best man, Kaitlin and Andrew’s siblings gave the toasts during their reception. Kaitlin’s brother, seated next to her, shared with their loved ones a few fun quirks about Kaitlin before admitting they were the best of friends growing up. Andrew’s sisters shared a couple funny memories before tearing up and talking about how honored they were to call him brother. Just a table over, their parents sat together, tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces. Marked by cherished family bonds you could feel, Kaitlin and Andrew’s wedding day was the perfect beginning to their new family.
Kaitlin and Andrew, what an honor to capture two people whose hearts beat the way yours do. We look through your images and feel all the things we saw on your special day. We hope you will too. Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
