As a lifestyle photographer in Idaho, I love working with families to design lifestyle photos that are meaningful to them. When I connected with Juanita, we started talking about what that would look like for her family and I’m obsessed with how their lifestyle family photos in Boise turned out!
For Juanita and Cody, having their sweet baby girl has been a joyful journey marked by integrating her into their life in Boise. Living within walking distance of the foothills, we knew we wanted to incorporate that in their family session! We met at the base of a hiking trail near their home to start there.
Even though Juanita and Cody’s baby girl isn’t old enough to run around or explore the foothills yet, it was so fun to capture their family connection in this iconic Boise spot so close to their home.
Juanita and Cody spend a lot of hours in their baby girl’s nursery at home, so we spent most of our time together photographing their family in her room. In this stage of life, so much of the time they spend with their daughter is focused on care and simple play, so we did the same for their lifestyle family photos!
The family played together in the baby’s room before I captured some documentary style photos of baby’s bath and bedtime routine. I love the mundane moments we captured during this lifestyle session. It’s so meaningful to have photographs of everyday life together to look back on—these photos represent the things they always do together! They are real and full of connection.
