They work on the same floor in the hospital but this weekend Karlen and Dan squeezed in a Chicago date night that started with their engagement photos!
Reminiscent of the night Dan asked Karlen to be his wife, we met them in the late afternoon glow of the sun slowly setting near the lake. He proposed on a dock by a lake in the fall, and this weekend they held each other tight with the icy lake and larger than life Chicago skyline behind them.
Each time I lifted my camera and they locked eyes, they just kept laughing. As we clicked image after image, it was clear that life together for Dan and Karlen is so much fun.
