If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see the hill where Codi planned to get down on one knee to ask Ellie to be his wife, where the sun set as they wrapped their arms around each other during the last few clicks of the shutter during their session with us.
We met Ellie and Codi for their engagement session on their property in New Meadows, a short drive from McCall. As we pulled into the driveway and looked around, we knew their images would be so personal. We drove down the streets they drive every day to work, and walked the hills around their house as the sun set. We talked about where they might have their wedding next year, but love how they don't get dragged down by the details.
They got engaged earlier this summer—a skunk ruining Codi's original plans—so he asked Ellie to marry him on her family's dock in McCall, the mountains and trees surrounding the lake behind them. Ellie and Codi are planning a summer wedding next year, and we absolutely cannot wait to celebrate them! Ellie closed down the dance floor with us at our own wedding, and we're looking forward to doing the same at hers.
Ellie and Codi, words can hardly express how happy we are for the two of you. We love the way your images radiate the joy and goodness of your life together. Next summer can hardly come fast enough, but we hope you soak in this sweet season of engaged life! Love and hugs, Becky & Kaleb.
Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
