To have something to celebrate in the heart of a Chicago winter is a gift. With hundreds of airline cancellations and blizzard conditions in the 24 hours leading up to Jami and Jordan’s Chicago wedding, stepping inside Renaissance Chicago downtown that morning was a wave of warmth and excitement.
Located just steps from the river, Renaissance Chicago downtown is a stunning location for a wedding in the city. With freezing temperatures and breathtaking Chicago winds, we stayed inside all day for Jami and Jordan’s wedding, but the urban vibe of the Renaissance and beautiful views from the hotel windows kept the city backdrop in focus.
Great Events planned a beautiful black tie wedding for Jami and Jordan at the Renaissance. Jami and Jordan got ready at the Renaissance surrounded by their close friends and family. Their siblings, parents, nephews, cousins, and friends were a huge part of their wedding celebration—from peeking in on their first look together to celebrating with them after signing their Ketubah and walking down the aisle. From the first video call with Jami and her family, we knew their hospitality would create the best atmosphere for Jami and Jordan’s wedding.
Once Jami and Jordan were officially married, following them through their cocktail hour was like watching a celebrity couple. Getting tackled with love by nephews, photos with friends, and hug after hug, Jami and Jordan’s celebration had just begun.
When the doors opened to Jami and Jordan’s reception, guests were immediately invited to the dance floor, where Rendezvous Music kicked off the night with energy. Watching Jami and Jordan dance the night away with their loved ones was so special, joy radiating from the two of them all night long.
Jami and Jordan, we loved so many things about your wedding day—from Jordan’s amazing video gift to Jami to Jami’s nephews taking the dance floor to the Cubs themed late night snack—your wedding was filled with the love and warmth you both share easily.
