We compiled our best summer engagement session tips and did a little research for you to include some links to looks we love!
During the summer months, it may be pretty warm for your session. Selecting breathable fabrics can help you feel more comfortable during your session! Also consider the colors you wear and how they do or do not show sweat. Neutrals like white, navy and black don't show sweat as much as some brighter colors or neutrals like grey.
It's always a good idea to bring a water bottle along in the car so you can stay hydrated during your outfit change!
No matter the season, wearing multiple layers gives depth to your outfits. We always recommend wearing one "wow" outfit, and there's nothing quite like a well-fitted suit! That being said, it can be hot during the summer months! For men, planning to wear a jacket or suit coat for the second outfit gives some time to breathe during the first half of the session, without sacrificing the style and fit of a well-tailored suit!
As tempting as it may be for our gentlemen to wear sandals, we always recommend wearing close-toed shoes (avoid the sneakers) for your session! Ladies, close-toed shoes elongate the line of your leg, but if you do choose to wear sandals, add a pedicure to your session prep list! Depending on how much walking is required for your session location, you can always bring more comfortable walking shoes to get from one spot to the next!
