The sun was shining in the way that when it hit my face I could feel warmth run through my whole body—that addicting kind of warmth that made me pause to soak it in for a minute. I met Courtney and Tyler in the Boise foothills on a warm winter day to take their engagement photos and I walked away knowing I had witnessed the kind of love that makes nothing else matter.
Every time I have connected with Courtney as her wedding photographer, I start smiling because she is always smiling. She has this infectious energy and zest for life that comes out in every conversation and interaction. So when I saw her with Tyler I wasn’t the least bit surprised that they shared it—this humming energy that was impossible to ignore. The sun filling the whole sky was the perfect echo to their warmth and love. Taking their pictures in the foothills, I got lost in it all, the best kind of creative flow.
Courtney and I planned their engagement session in the foothills because it’s a place you’d easily run into Courtney and Tyler. From tackling the Grand Slam Peaks together to hiking the foothills, they love taking on a challenge and enjoying time outside together. With their wedding coming up this spring, we chose a winter evening in the foothills, and we got the best bright skies.
Every time I look at their engagement photos, I feel the electric burst of love between them and I just can’t wait for their wedding day.
