We drove up the long dirt road to Prairie’s Edge in Kuna on the morning of Lynnsey and Mason’s wedding day. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and it was so peaceful looking out over the desert landscape.
Prairie’s Edge is a wedding and event venue in Kuna, Idaho. With outdoor space on a large lawn next to indoor space in their white barn, it was the perfect location for Lynnsey and Mason’s relaxed vibe.
When guests began arriving to celebrate Lynnsey and Mason, they came upon the ceremony set up on the lawn: beautiful views of the Boise Foothills in the distance. Trinity Mountain Floral knocked it out of the park with Lynnsey’s warm, bright color palette, adding a beautiful ceremony altar design and playful bridesmaid bouquets.
During cocktail hour guests gathered on the outdoor patio, drinks served by Swiggy, the Bar. The party started after dinner in the barn, the dance floor coming alive with the University of Idaho fight song.
When I first met Lynnsey & Mason when they were looking for a wedding photographer, I knew they were the perfect fit for us. Lynnsey and Mason are kind souls. They trusted us to capture the most intimate details of their wedding day and gave us full creative freedom. They are easygoing and easy to love. Celebrating them was effortless.
On their wedding day, one of my favorite moments was when we stepped away with them to take a few photographs as the light began fading for the evening. As we finished up, we exchanged hugs on the edge of the desert in Kuna—the Boise foothills in the distance in one direction and their reception in the other. Looking back on their friends and family celebrating was so special: family deep in conversation, friends slow dancing under the patio lights, kids running around playing “Simon Says” on the lawn. All their favorite people were in one place for one night, and it was perfect.
Photographing weddings is such a personal job, and I love when I get to work with couples to capture their engagement photos too. Lynnsey and Mason’s destination engagement session in Idaho is one of my all time favorites!
