Hailey and Nich’s wedding at The Cottage at Riverbend was one we were looking forward to for a while! We photographed Hailey’s sister’s wedding, and just love their family, so spending the day celebrating alongside them held some sweet anticipation for us!
Driving up to The Cottage at Riverbend is like entering a hidden oasis. A charming Spanish revival home on the front of the property welcomes guests with flowering plants and shady trees. Hailey and Nich had their wedding ceremony on the lawn outside the home, every seat filled with loved ones. Following the ceremony, guests meandered to the open lawn at the back of the property. Hailey and Nich’s reception took place under the setting sun, the sound of the river nearby overpowered by the chatter and music of guests catching up and dancing under the lights at The Cottage at Riverbend.
With family in the wedding party on both sides, we loved how Hailey and Nich’s wedding held strong familial ties. Listening to the speeches of both Hailey’s maid of honor and Nich’s best man, it was clear how much their families mean to them. We loved the personal decisions they made for their wedding too, like the origami cranes displayed at the wedding—a Japanese tradition in Hailey’s family that symbolizes good fortune—and the choice they made to have their wedding ceremony and reception alfresco because of their love for the outdoors.
And when it came down to it, Hailey and Nich’s celebration was just so fun. All night long, you could hear guests laughing together, and it was the same for the bride and groom. With some of their wedding photographs captured on film, we love the joy and nostalgia they hold. Hailey and Nich, we just loved capturing your wedding photos! Each time we look at them, we can feel the bliss of your day. Thank you for trusting us with your memories, for treating us like family, and for being yourselves in front of the camera.
