Wedding Day Tips

We've been through many weddings with our couples, which means we have experience we'd love to share with you!

We’ve walked through quite a few wedding days with our couples, and over the years have collected some key pieces of wisdom for the wedding day! Most wedding days have a whole lot going on, but we’ve found that couples who do these things feel amazing and enjoy their wedding day the most!

Our Top Wedding Day Tips

1 | Stick to the Norm

Couples who look and feel their best on their wedding day stick to their normal morning routines. If you typically get up and workout in the morning, do it on your wedding day! Eat the things you’d normally have for breakfast too. It’s a special day, but kicking it off “normally” often helps your body feel good and helps you feel like yourself!

2 | Drink plenty of water

It’s easy to get caught up in wedding day festivities and forget to eat and drink healthy foods and liquids, but don’t skip this! Drink plenty of water so you feel hydrated and ready to go on your wedding day!

3 | Delegate!

Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks to the people you trust. The less you have to remember and worry about on your wedding day, the better!

4 | Pause and Soak it in!

Remember to pause and soak in the small things on your wedding day. Savoring special and small moments will help you remember the day so much better. Kaleb and I will do everything we can to keep things running smoothly and on track, but we’ll also try to help you savor the sweet moments of your big day whenever we can! (We think this is SO important that we wrote more about it HERE!)

I'm a Co-founder and Lead Photographer at Studio Ostendo.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
