We met Kimberly and John downtown Boise for their engagement photos and had the most beautiful morning in late fall. The sky was cloudy, with moments of sun peeking through. We picked two photo locations in downtown Boise that showcased different aspects of the city.
We started with some engagement photos at the Boise Depot, an iconic and historic location in the heart of Boise. Standing on the terrace in front of the Boise Depot, you can see sweeping views of downtown Boise, but the magic of this photo location is the Spanish style architecture, clean lines, and neutral stucco of the Depot. The Boise Depot brought a sense of style and sophistication to Kimberly and John's engagement photos in Boise.
For our second engagement photo location, we chose a a more organic and natural spot downtown Boise. We walked through the foothills to finish their engagement photos at Camel's Back Park. Kimberly and John love hiking and being outdoors. It's one of the reasons they moved to Boise and love the area, so Camel's Back Park was the perfect spot to close their Boise engagement photos. As we walked through the tall grasses and trails at Camel's Back, we talked more about their wedding plans and life in the Boise area. John told us that he runs through the foothills sometimes, and has run through Camel's Back. We love when the locations for engagement photos connect personally with couples.
We loved taking engagement photos for Kimberly and John downtown Boise, because they'll also be celebrating their wedding there next year!
When Kaleb and I first met Kimberly and John, we knew we would love capturing them as a couple. They're people who are not only focused on what really matters, but also the life of the party. They told us about their family and friends who would be by their side to celebrate their wedding at The Grove Hotel downtown Boise this spring, and how important those relationships are to them. And when we asked about priorities on their wedding day, John made it clear that they'd be closing down the dance floor like they always do!
Kimberly and John, thank you for trusting us to capture such significant memories for the two of you. We love the laughs we caught on camera, how comfortable you are with each other, and how easily you make others feel known. We cannot wait to meet the people you call your tribe and celebrate with you this spring! Hugs, Becky and Kaleb.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
