As photographers, we often visit new wedding venues to look for wedding photo locations and make sure we're prepared for our couples' wedding days! When we first visited Deerflat Ranch, it was a new and budding wedding venue in Nampa with huge potential. It has since transformed into a stunning location to host both indoor and outdoor Idaho weddings in the Boise area. Overlooking the Deerflat National Wildlife Refuge, this peaceful Idaho wedding venue is an amazing spot to get married!

With the addition of a large building in 2021, Deerflat Ranch now has an indoor ceremony or reception space for weddings in addition its outdoor spaces and getting ready rooms! Couples can get ready there with their wedding party and family, and walk or ride to their ceremony and reception—all on one property! This makes wedding day logistics much easier to navigate. It also means couples have a backup plan if weather (rain, wind) is an issue.
In addition to event space, Deerflat ranch has so many amazing spots for wedding photos, right on the property, including a lavender field!
As far as wedding venues in Idaho go, Deerflat Ranch is one of the best because of its photography potential. From a photography standpoint, we love the amazing natural light and neutral colors in the getting ready space. Deerflat Ranch also has a room lined with mirrors, set up for multiple hair and makeup artists to do their magic at once on a wedding day!
In the event space, Deerflat Ranch has high ceilings, neutral colored floors and walls, and multiple garage doors that open for an open air feel when the weather is nice, or natural light to shine in through the glass when it's just a little too cold to be out. The wedding and event space really is a beautiful blank canvas. It's perfect to make each couple's vision and wedding dreams come to life, especially if you're working with an event designer or planner!

The bonus of having that amazing building is that Deerflat Ranch has both indoor and outdoor event spaces that can be used for a wedding ceremony and/or reception. The outdoor event spaces are open with mature trees lining the outside of each space. In the outdoor space adjacent to the building, lights are strung to create a dreamy glow as the sun goes down. Speaking from experience, the outdoor spaces are the perfect balance of warm Idaho sun and cool summer shade for wedding guests, while the indoor space makes Deerflat Ranch a viable option for weddings outside of the warm months!
Guests often feel comfortable traveling up to an hour for weddings or significant events. Located about a half hour from downtown Boise, Deerflat Ranch is a stunning alternative for a Boise wedding.
